Eco friendly boxes
Makkipak cardboard boxes are made from corrugated board sourced from trusted suppliers. Most European paper is made from sustainable forests owned by SCA (Swedish Cellulose Company) who plant two trees for every one cut down. Kraft paper used for the outer liner of your cardboard box comes is from sofwood trees such as Pine, Spruce and Fir. Test inner liners come from hardwood trees such as Birch, Chestnut, Oak and Sycamore. All these trees are carefully managed in SCA owned forests.
It is more common that the majority of your cardboard box to be made from recycled content because of this we feel cardboard is an eco friendly packaging product. We encourage customers to look at the option of made to measure boxes as it reduces the need for void fill.
